Connecting with the Magic:  Preparing for Auditions

This unique workshop will give you the tools to be able to create successful auditions, as you explore the acting method taught by Broadway Training Intensive.  Bring sheet music marked with your favorite 16-32 bar cut and be ready to perform!  If you're not yet feeling confident as a singer, you are welcome to observe or to bring a one-minute monologue.  Ages 8-13 will meet Saturday 3/10/18 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Tuition is $35 ($45 at the door).  Ages 14-Adult will meet Saturday 3/10/18 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Tuition is $45 ($55 at the door)

College Audition Seminar

This 90-minute seminar is free for parents and their high school student -- the only requirement is that the student must have attended one of Mary Ann's workshops or taken a one-hour private lesson with Mary Ann.  The seminar is presented as a public service by Broadway Training Intensive and Hodgson Studio of Music & Drama -- our goal is to help high school students and their parents be aware of the college audition process for musical theatre, acting, and commercial music.  You'll learn about degree types, how to determine which programs are likely to be the best fit for you, the application process, the difference between auditioning on campus and at College Unified Auditions, what to prepare for auditions, and, most importantly, "Is a career in theatre or music what I really want?" This seminar will meet Friday 3/9/18 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
